Muscat, Jun.17 (ONA) ---- The board of directors of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) today held its 15th annual meeting under the auspices of Salim bin Mohammed al-Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Culture, Chairman of the NRAA’s board.
The board reviewed the progress of work at the Authority and reports and plans on its accomplishments, as well as future projects and programs aimed at upgrading the archives sector by keeping pace with ongoing developments.
The board followed up the implementation of decisions taken in previous meetings and endorsed minutes of the 14thmeeting. The meeting also looked into the schedule of proposed tasks and took appropriate decisions in their regard.
Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed al-Dhoyani, Chairman of the NRAA, presented a report featuring the most important activities of the Authority since its last annual meeting, including the conferences it held, research and studies it conducted and archives exhibitions in which it participated.
The meeting also discussed NRAA’s final report for 2019 and approved the Authority’s 2020 Budget, linking it to the plan of action for this year.
