Andorra la Vella, Nov 4 (ONA) --- The Sultanate, represented by the Photographic Society of Oman, affiliated to the Ministry of Arts Affairs, won the silver medal at the 28th FIAP Colour Biennial in Andorra.
The medals presentation ceremony was held at the Sant Julia de Loria Cultural and Conference Center in the Principality of Andorra as part of the activities of the Spanish Confederation of Photography Conference, in the presence of Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Busaidi, Director of the Photographic Society of Oman
The ceremony included an exhibition of winning photos at the FIAB Biennial 2019. The silver medal is another achievement for Omani photography amateurs.
The 28th FIAP Colour Biennial in Andorra came under two themes. The first theme allocated for printed images. It is required that the competing country participates in (10) images that share the same subject. The second theme allocated for digital photos in which the competing country participates in a maximum of 20 pictures.
The Sultanate participated in the theme of the printed images with a group of images entitled (Glowing Spirits), which reflected in its entirety images of the faces of the elderly.
The Sultanate was represented in this Biennial by Ahmed Al Quyodhi, Ahmed al-Batashi, Hassan al-Ameri, Hatem al-Rashdi, Said al-Shukaili, Hamad al-Ghanbousi, Mohammed al-Balushi, Majid al-Ameri, Mohammed Khalid al-Azm and Mohammed al-Hajri.
