Saint Petersburg, 2 Jun (ONA) – Oman National Museum has opened a new hall at the Hermitage Museum in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia, with the purpose of highlighting the Sultanate's history, cultural and scientific heritage at a global level.
The event took place on the sidelines of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Yousef Issa Al-Zadjali, the Sultanate's Ambassador to Russia, attended the official inauguration ceremony via videoconferencing.
The National Museum's hall showcases a variety of traditional items that offer an opportunity for millions of the visitors to have a close look at the Sultanate's civilization and unique cultural heritage and supplement its reputation as an outstanding tourism destination.
The initiative also saw the signing of agreements with international museum establishments to dedicate show corners under the name of "Oman" in their respective countries' museums.
