Dortmund to Host Bayern amid Covid-19 Distraction
Berlin, 2 Dec (ONA) --- The shadow of the coronavirus pandemic hangs over one of the showpiece attractions of German football.
A crucial blow could be struck in the Bundesliga title race this Saturday when champions Bayern Munich visit challengers Borussia Dortmund, who are just a point behind them.
But Dortmund's usual home advantage of a large, passionate home crowd will be drastically reduced as politicians are set to cut capacity in a bid to contain the latest wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
A repeat of the closed doors game, from May 2020, currently seems unlikely. That match, as the Bundesliga resumed after a break at the start of the pandemic, was settled by Joshua Kimmich's brilliant chip for Bayern which effectively sealed the title.
