Muscat, Feb 26 (ONA) --- Activities of the 3rd edition of the French Week in Muscat will kick-off on the 12th of March 2020. The 10-day event is organized by the French Embassy here.
Renaud Salins, French Ambassador to the Sultanate, said in a press conference at the French embassy today that this round of the French Week focuses on French culture, cuisine and business.
The event will enhance relations between the Sultanate and the French Republic, both economically and culturally, said Salins, adding that the French Week in Muscat drew a large turnout of more than 10,000 visitors in its last edition.
He pointed out that the French week includes a variety of important events, including a conference on sustainable cities, a French cuisine programme, a French costumes fashion show (Opera Galleria, Royal Opera House), a photo exhibition (Bait Al Baranda Museum) showcasing the works of French artist Susan Held (who featured the Sultanate in 1977) and a Francophonic reception at Centre Franco-Omanais here.
