China Launches Internet Satellite Constellation

Beijing, 12 Feb (ONA) --- China launched a new batch of low-earth orbit satellites from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in southern Hainan Province.

The satellite constellation was launched on a modified version of the Long March-8 carrier rocket, the second batch of its kind that will form an Internet constellation, as the satellites successfully entered their designated orbit, the Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.

This launch marks the 559th mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
