HM the Sultan Issues Two Royal Decrees
Muscat, 3 Nov (ONA)—His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued two Royal decrees reading as follows:
Royal Decree No. 70/2022 on the appointment of an Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry.
Article (1) states that Sheikh Abdulaziz Abdullah Zaher Al Hinai shall be appointed as Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry, with the Special Grade.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 71/2022 on applying the public utility status to the project for development and production of metal mining units in the Area A1-12 in the Wilayat of Yanqul, Governorate of A’Dhahirah.
Article (1) stipulates that the project for development and the production of metal mining units in the Area A1-12 in the Wilayat of Yanqul, Governorate of A’Dhahirah, specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public utility project.
Article (2) stipulates that competent authorities may seize, through direct execution, the real estate and land necessary for the abovementioned project, as well as all establishments therein, in accordance with the Law on Expropriation for Public Benefit promulgated under Royal Decree (64/78).
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
