Riyadh, Oct.27 (ONA) ---- Ambassador Hamad bin Rashid al- Mari, GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs / Chairman of the GCC Secretariat General’s team in the organization of the GCC Days, expressed, on behalf of the Secretariat, his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Chairman of the current session of the GCC Supreme Council, for the Sultanate’s hosting, as being the chairman of the current session, of the GCC Supreme Council of the recently concluded GCC Days.
He also thanked His Majesty the Sultan for the support provided by the Sultanate, represented by the Foreign Ministry and all the ministries, bodies and institutions for their support, care and attention that resulted in achieving the desired success and highlighted them in that bright way, which was reflected in the level of participation and interaction by the various segments of society in the Sultanate.
He said in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the activities of the GCC Days, which were organized in cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and the GCC Secretariat General, included a package of various programs and activities that targeted the Gulf citizen, including exhibitions, workshops, seminars and forums in trade, industry, economy, property rights, human rights and environment, health, media, education and a number of other areas highlighted the accomplished Gulf achievements and the efforts being made in the process of joint Gulf action to enhance the gains of the Gulf citizen.
He pointed out that hosting by Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Bayan College of a number of events was effectively reflected in enhancing the contribution of the younger generation and developing their capabilities.  It also highlighted the efforts of the GCC States to safeguard their rights, build their skills and empower them in their societies.
