HM The Sultan, King of Netherlands Exchange Orders, Mementos

Amsterdam, 15 Apr (ONA) --- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands exchanged orders and commemorative gifts at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam today

on the occasion of His Majesty’s state visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

His Majesty the Sultan conferred "Al Said Order" on King Willem-Alexander, in commendation for the King and in manifestation of the advanced relations of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

His Majesty the Sultan also conferred “Oman First Order” on Queen Máxima, and “Renaissance of Oman 1st Class Order” on Princess Catharina-Amalia, the Princess of Orange and the heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

His Majesty also conferred Royal orders on some senior officials in the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands awarded His Majesty the Sultan “Order of the Lion of the Netherlands”, the oldest and highest civilian order of chivalry in the Netherlands, in commendation of His Majesty the Sultan and in acknowledgment of the two countries' distinguished relations.

The Netherlands Monarch also awarded Royal orders to Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, and members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty.

Furthermore, the two leaders exchanged some commemorative gifts.
