HM The Sultan Receives Written Message From Iraqi President

Muscat, 1 May (ONA) —— His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a written message from President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid of the Republic of Iraq, inviting His Majesty to attend the 34th Arab Summit and the 5th Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, due to be held in Iraq this month.

This took place when His Majesty gave an audience at Al Barakah Palace today to Dr. Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq.

During the audience, the Iraqi official conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Rashid to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people.

On his turn, His Majesty asked the guest to convey his greetings and best wishes to President Rashid and the people of Iraq. His Majesty wished the two summits success.

The audience was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Qais Saad Al Amri, Ambassador of Iraq to Oman and Dr. Fuad Ghazi, Head of Media Department at the Iraqi Foreign Affairs Ministry.
