HM The Sultan Pardons Prisoners

Muscat, 10 Jan 2026 (ONA) — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a Royal pardon to a number of inmates convicted of various offenses.

They included 334 inmates, both citizens and expatriates, according to an official source at the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

This pardon coincides with the 11th of January, commemorating HM The Sultan’s Accession Day and takes into consideration the families of the pardoned inmates.
