Muscat, Oct 7 (ONA) --- Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said,

Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers today received GCC

Finance and Economy Ministers, who are attending the meeting of the

Financial and Economic Committee, which is being hosted by the

Sultanate in the presence of Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid al-Zayani, GCC

Secretary General.

           After Sayyid Fahd welcomed the guests, he expressed the

Sultanate's appreciation under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan

Qaboos Bin Said over the sincere efforts exerted in the economic,

investment and trade fields to push the march of the GCC joint

economic action.

         The conversation during the meeting touched on the importance

of concerted efforts to activate the GCC cooperation through setting up

more joint ventures among the GCC countries. The meeting reviewed

the steps taken to facilitate procedures of commercial exchange and

supporting integration through establishing the GCC common market.

          The guests expressed their thanks for the Sultanate's host of the

meeting and for the good preparation that contributes in reaching

many positive outcomes. They hailed the Sultanate's constructive role

in the success of the GCC march.

          The meeting was attended by Darwish bin Ismail al-Balushi,

Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs.
