Tender Awarded for Al Mouj Road Development Project, 18 November Road

Muscat, 28 Oct (ONA) — The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in coordination with the Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority, has awarded the project for developing Al Mouj Road and the associated section of 18 November Road.

The project includes adding a third lane in each direction on the road from the Airport Bridge to the Al Ishraq Roundabout towards A’Seeb Beach. It also involves constructing a bridge and a four-direction traffic light signal at the Al Mouj Roundabout, and building a flyover and an underpass for vehicles at the existing Al Bahja Roundabout.

The project entails converting the Al Ishraq Roundabout into a three-direction traffic light intersection with lanes ensuring continuous traffic flow towards A’Seeb Beach. A third lane will be added from the Al Mouj Roundabout to the Al Mawalih Bridge, alongside constructing two underpasses for vehicles heading from 18 November Road to the Al Mawalih Bridge.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is in the process of finalizing the procedures for awarding Muscat Expressway expansion project.
