UTAS Hosts First Sorting of Student Companies from Dhofar Educational Directorate

Salalah, 2 Feb 2026 (ONA) --- The first phase of assessment of student companies—from the Directorate General of Education in Dhofar Governorate—was held today at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) in Salalah.

The assessment, which focused on companies developed during the School Year 2025-2026, was carried out in cooperation with Injaz Oman Foundation.

The assessment saw the participation of representatives of various entities, including the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and Dhofar Governorate.

The projects submitted for evaluation covered the areas of recycling of used materials, environmental solutions, health, food, agriculture, road safety, green hydrogen and electronic platforms aimed to serve the community.
