Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic Welcomes 56th Cohort
Manah, 14 Apr (ONA) —— The Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic Language to Non-Native Speakers today welcomed a new cohort of 47 students from 10 countries, including the United States, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Lithuania, Hungary, France, Comoros, India, Thailand, El Salvador, Poland, and Turkiye.
The academic program includes a specialized course for training Arabic language instructors for non-native speakers, comprising two groups of professors from Indonesia and Uzbekistan, alongside a comprehensive Arabic language study program.
The orientation day featured an introduction to the institute's faculty, administrative staff, and cultural program supervisors, as well as a tour of the institute’s facilities and services. A visual presentation on the Sultanate of Oman was also showcased.
The study program incorporates various activities, lectures, cultural evenings, and educational trips to historical and natural sites. Additionally, it offers Arabic calligraphy lessons, art workshops, a language partner program, and reference frameworks for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, covering language components, skills, and methodological approaches to Arabic instruction.
