Al Jabal Al Akhdar, 18 Aug (ONA)— Al Jabal Al Akhdar Public Park project was officially inaugurated today in the Seeh Qatnah area of Al Jabal Al Akhdar, in the A’Dakhiliyah Governorate. Developed at a cost exceeding RO 1.1 million, the park spans an area of 20,000 square meters.

The inauguration aligns with efforts to enhance the governorate’s tourism and recreational infrastructure, marking a qualitative addition to developmental projects that reinforce Al Jabal Al Akhdar’s status as a premier national and regional tourist destination.

Eng. Khalid Adeem Al Salmi, Director of Planning and Investment at the A’Dakhiliyah Governor’s Office, stated that the project opens new horizons for small and medium enterprises through diverse investment opportunities, including the operation of facilities and commercial outlets, as well as the organization of tourism and community events.

He emphasized that the anticipated influx of visitors will stimulate economic activity in the governorate and support entrepreneurs, aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in fostering entrepreneurship and community engagement.

The park’s design caters to all age groups, offering multi-purpose facilities that combine recreation, sports, and cultural activities, making it a key destination for visitors and residents year-round.

The park is part of the comprehensive development underway in Al Jabal Al Akhdar and features integrated recreational amenities, including a1,000-square-meter children’s play area, sports tracks and investment zones, an electric games section, prayers rooms and separate restrooms for men and women, an open-air multi-purpose theater and 5,000 square meters* of green spaces with natural vegetation, enhancing the site’s aesthetics and serving as a hub for family activities and community events.
