Preliminary Qualifiers for Sultan Qaboos Quran Competition Commence in Nizwa

Nizwa, 29 Sep (ONA) — The evaluation committees for the preliminary qualifiers of the 33rd Sultan Qaboos Quran Competition began their work today at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Nizwa. This marks the 16th evaluation stage organized and supervised by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, and will continue for four days.

Dr. Said Humaid Al Dhawyani, Deputy Head of the Competition's Qualifying Committee, stated that the Nizwa center is one of the significant venues in the competition due to the participation of contestants from the various wilayats of A’Dakhiliyah Governorate. He indicated that the center is witnessing the participation of 289 male and female contestants this year, out of a total of 2,800 registered participants across the Sultanate of Oman.
