“Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers” Receives 45 New Students
Manah, 29 Dec 2025 (ONA) --- The "Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers", located in the Wilayat of Manah, A’Dakhiliyah Governorate, today welcomed 45 male and female students of different nationalities. The students will join an Arabic language learning course that will run until 12 February 2026.
This batch comprises students from thirteen countries across the globe: Japan, South Korea, Uzbekistan, France, Turkey, Iran, Belarus, Russia, Denmark, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Tanzania, and Mongolia. Notably, this marks the first time since the Institute's founding that it welcomes students from Mongolia.

The welcoming programme included a meeting with the staff, a tour of the institute’s facilities, an introduction to the educational services and a visual presentation about the Sultanate of Oman.
The course comprises 160 hours of Arabic language study, cultural and educational programmes, trips to historical and natural sites and lessons in Arabic calligraphy. A key component is the Language Partner Programme, which enhances opportunities for linguistic and cultural interaction with the local (native) community.
The Institute boasts a special status by spreading Arabic language and enhancing its global presence. It reinforces its role as a leading institute in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and its serves as a bridge for civilizational and cultural communication between the Sultanate of Oman and other countries of the world.
