Madayn Pioneering Complex Opened in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate
Nizwa, 17 Feb 2026 (ONA) --- A facility named “Madayn Pioneering Complex” was opened today in the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ).
During the opening, the first 10 ready-made model industrial units were launched at Nizwa Industrial City, an affiliate of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”. The step aimed to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and promote industrial activity in Oman governorates.
The operational area of each industrial unit is approximately 620 square metres. The units have been equipped with basic services, administrative offices and spaces designated for loading and unloading. The units also have parking spaces and green spaces, alongwith modern and flexible designs that keep pace with industrial activities and entrepreneurial projects.
The project aims to establish an integrated industrial environment that contributes to accelerate the implementation of small and medium industrial projects, enhance in-country value (ICV) and generate sustainable employment opportunities. It also adheres to security and safety standards and make use of renewable and alternative energy solutions.
The opening of the industrial units has been the outcome of cooperation and integration among the authorities concerned. It seeks to support entrepreneurs, open up prospects for investment—towards the realization of the goals of Oman Vision 2040—and boost economic development in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The project serves as a strategic step towards enabling entrepreneurs so that they could conduct their business in an efficient manner. “Riyada”, the Authority for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, will join hands with Madayn to establish similar ready-made factory complexes in other governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, in accordance with Riyada 2026-2030 executive plan.
