Occupational Safety, Health Initiative Launched in North A’Sharqiyah

Ibra, 29 Apr (ONA) —— The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Directorate General of Labour in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, today launched the Occupational Safety and Health Initiative, implementing the recommendations of the Occupational Safety and Health Symposium held in the governorate in May of last year.

Eng. Ishaq Jumaa Al Kharousi, Director General of Labour in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, stated that the initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of applying occupational safety and health requirements in public and private sector institutions across the governorate. It also seeks to promote a safe, stable, and sustainable work environment by implementing several symposium recommendations, including activating evacuation plans and training and hiring specialists in occupational safety and health.

The launch ceremony was attended by Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North A’Sharqiyah, along with several officials from the governorate.
