National Ophthalmology Conference Held in Ibra
Ibra, 16 Oct (ONA) --- The National Ophthalmology Conference kicked off today in the Wilayat of Ibra under the theme “Updates & Challenges”. The event was organized by the Ministry of Health, represented by Ibra Hospital’s Ophthalmology Department, in partnership with the Ministry’s Ophthalmology Program.
It came within the context of enhancing public awareness and discuss the latest developments, challenges, and cutting-edge research in ophthalmology and eye surgery.
The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Mahmoud Yahya Al Dhuhli, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah.
As many as 200 specialized medical, nursing, and allied health professionals in ophthalmology from government health institutions participated in the conference. Expert consultants and specialists from the Ministry of Health, the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services, and the University Medical City delivered a series of lectures.
The conference featured six scientific sessions with twelve speakers from various ophthalmology sub-specialties. Topics covered included the latest advances and challenges in optometry, corneal diseases, pediatric ophthalmology, innovations in cosmetic eye procedures, cutting-edge glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, current challenges in glaucoma management, and the latest developments and treatment hurdles in retinal diseases.
