Ibri, 30 Dec 2025 (ONA) --- A’Dhahirah Governorate today announced the details and events of A’Dhahirah Tourism Festival 2026, which will be held from 8 January to 6 February 2026.

The announcement event was held in the presence of Najeeb Ali Al Rowas, Governor of A’Dhahirah and General Supervisor of the festival.

Ahmed Rashid Al Marshoudi, Director of the Communication and Media Department at the Governor's Office, reviewed the features of the festival's new edition, which will be held under the slogan "Something Different." He underlined the governorate's keenness to present a renewed tourism and entertainment experience that meets the aspirations of various segments of society and reflects the governorate's tourism and cultural assets.

The introductory meeting covered the festival's main events, which range from international entertainment shows, artistic concerts, and poetry evenings to cultural and heritage events, children's activities, a heritage village, a consumer market, and a hall for international restaurants and cafes. This enhances the festival's standing as a family destination during the winter season.

The developmental aspects of the festival were also reviewed during the event. These included diversifying events, expanding the scope of participation, and attracting international performances being held for the first time in A’Dhahirah Governorate, such as the Monte Carlo International shows. Additionally, a daily global carnival featuring giant robot displays and mobile entertainment performances within the festival site will be held, along with daily international folkloric performances. Furthermore, the festival's new visual identity was highlighted to align with audience expectations.

A’Dhahirah Tourism Festival represents added value for the people of the governorate and contributes to providing temporary job opportunities for job seekers, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, by involving them in organizational, administrative, logistical, and accompanying event work.

The festival also provides a platform for productive families, rural women, and folk groups to showcase their local and handicraft products in the consumer market, contributing to enhancing their income sources and supporting the sustainability of their small and medium enterprises. It also empowers youth, hones their skills, and encourages community initiatives.

It is worth noting that A’Dhahirah Tourism Festival is one of the most prominent seasonal events in the governorate. It attracts increasing numbers of visitors from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman annually and contributes to stimulating tourism and economic activity in the governorate.
