A’Dhahirah Governorate Hosts Orientation Tour about "Hamat" Programme

Ibri, 13 Jan 2026 (ONA) --- A’Dhahirah Governorate today hosted an orientation tour about an innovation programme codenamed “Hamat”. The programme, implemented in the Wilayat of Ibri, forms part of introductory tours made by Oman Investment Authority in different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman to support innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Hamat” programme seeks to enable the owners of startups to convert innovative ideas into practical solutions with a sustainable economic and social impact in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

The tour familiarized the target segments about the challenges involved (in converting ideas into solutions), the expected outcomes and the mechanisms needed to participate in the programme.

The activities of the tour included orientation sessions to deepen the participants’ understanding of the challenges and available opportunities, in addition to working sessions that enabled the participants to develop their ideas in a practical manner.

The tour outlined the next stages of the programme, which includes training camps to develop ideas and convert them into prototypes, submitting the envisaged projects to specialized committees and preparing for the incubation stage, which provides necessary support to winning projects so that they could develop into viable projects.

“Hamat” programme contributes to supporting economic diversification and achieving sustainable development in the Sultanate of Oman.
