Symposium Held on North Al Batinah in Omani History

Sohar, 21 Oct (ONA) --- A symposium titled “North Al Batinah in the Omani History” began today in Sohar.

The 3-day event is organized by the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) in cooperation with the North Al Batinah Governor’s Office.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.

Further, the symposium includes 29 working papers covering the following themes: history-politics, socioeconomics and culture.

On the sidelines of the symposium, an exhibition is held. It showcases 1,500 historical manuscripts.
