Municipal Council of North Al Batinah Addresses Some Services Implementation
Sohar, 23 Apr (ONA) —— The Municipal Council of North Al Batinah Governorate today discussed the provision of several devices and the implementation of various services across the governorate’s wilayats.
The meeting was chaired by Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and attended by council members and representatives from relevant government entities.
The meeting addressed several key topics, including the regulation of public markets and commercial sites to enhance operational efficiency and improve services for citizens and residents. It also reviewed ongoing municipal projects, highlighting major challenges in their execution while stressing the importance of adhering to set timelines.
The council emphasized strengthening partnerships between local communities and government units to achieve sustainable development goals in the governorate.
Additionally, the council reviewed the outcomes of the first Social Affairs Committee meeting of the year, as well as government responses on multiple issues, including requests for road rehabilitation—such as the road linking the main highway with the expressway in Al Buraik area, the Wilayat Al Khaboura.
The meeting also examined a proposal to implement a solar-powered street lighting initiative across the governorate, given its positive impact on energy conservation and environmental sustainability. Several community requests were discussed, including the provision of remote hearing measurement devices for individuals with hearing impairments after hearing aid installation in hospitals.
