Summer Program Launched for North Al Batinah School Students
Sohar, 30 Jun (ONA) – The activities of the 2025 summer program for school students in North Al Batinah Governorate commenced today across the governorate's wilayats.
Organized by the Ministry of Education under the slogan “My Summer: Connection and Growth," the program involves 600 male and female students from various wilayats, distributed across six summer centers.
Issa Saif Al Shamsi, head of the local committee for the summer program in North Al Batinah, stated that this year's program includes activities aligned with its key objectives, most notably making productive use of students' summer break. The initiative aims to nurture a capable generation that contributes to realizing the aspirations of “Oman 2040" vision while developing students' personalities and talents through carefully selected workshops tailored to participants' interests and needs.
He added that the program offers a wide variety of training workshops, totaling 72 training hours per summer center. These workshops, he explained, cover multiple fields including arts, culture, science, sports, and social activities, all designed to enhance students' capabilities, develop their skills, and enrich their personal and cognitive experiences during the summer break.
He pointed out that the summer program goes beyond entertainment, serving as a non-classroom educational space that promotes life skills, social interaction, creativity, and teamwork.
It is worth mentioning that this year's summer centers for the governorate's students include one center in each wilayat, with activities continuing until 10 July.
