"Our Safe Home" Initiative Launched in South Al Batinah

Al Awabi, 8 Jul (ONA) – The Directorate General of Social Development in South Al Batinah Governorate today organized the “Our Safe Home" initiative, aimed at promoting family stability and cohesion while raising awareness among family members about the importance of raising children in an environment of understanding, compassion, and mutual respect.

Held in the Wilayat of Al Awabi under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Hamoud Ali Al Marshoudi, Wali of Al Awabi, the initiative featured two working papers. The first addressed the importance of premarital counseling for engaged couples, focusing on building strong and stable marital relationships through effective communication, trust, and mutual respect. The second paper discussed the role of parents in child-rearing amid rapid digital advancements, globalization and technological openness, emphasizing their responsibility in guiding children toward safe social media usage and mitigating the risks of misuse. The event also included visual presentations and a panel discussion.
