South Al Batinah Municipal Council Holds Meeting

A’Rustaq, 24 Dec 2025 (ONA) --- The Municipal Council of South Al Batinah Governorate reviewed several service and development topics related to the growth of the governorate’s wilayats during its tenth meeting of 2025.

The meeting, chaired by Eng. Masoud Said Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah and Chairman of the Council, included the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes and discussions on various issues concerning the education sector.

During the session, the Department of Heritage and Tourism delivered a visual presentation outlining the procedures for obtaining licenses for guest houses and "Green Inns." This initiative aims to support sustainable tourism within the governorate by regulating these facilities and encouraging local investment in the hospitality sector.

The Council also deliberated on several general matters, including a study to intensify monitoring of animal feed products in commercial shops and farms. Furthermore, the meeting addressed the planning of sites for commercial, industrial, and service centers in villages and areas distant from city centers to ensure balanced development. Members also reviewed the annual report for 2025 and the report from the Committee for Governorate Development regarding their field visit to various projects in the Wilayat of Barka.
