Sanad Service Centres in South Al Batinah Enhance Business Environment, Facilitate Government Procedures
Al Rustaq, 14 Jan 2026 (ONA) --- Sanad Service Centres in South Al Batinah Governorate constitute one of the main pillars of the system of economic and service activities, thus lending optimum support to the growing commercial and investment drive in the governorate.
Sanad Service Centres contribute to facilitating government procedures,enhancing the business environment and enabling entrepreneurs and citizens to complete their transactions in an efficient and rapid manner.

The Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in South Al Batinah Governorate affirmed that Sanad Service Centres represent an important link between government institutions and beneficiaries, thanks to their role in streamlining services in line with the trends of digital transition.
Tarik Nasser Al Harrasi, Director of the Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in South Al Batinah Governorate, said that 85 centers operate in various wilayats of the governorate. He added that the balanced geographic distribution of the centres reflects the keenness of the competent authorities to ensure that services reach the largest possible segment of beneficiaries.
He explained that the 85 Sanad Service Centres in South Al Batinah Governorate are distributed as follows: 39 in the Wilayat of Barka, 20 in the Wilayat of Rustaq, 17 in the Wilayat of Al Mussanah, 5 in the Wilayat of Nakha, 2 in the Wilayat of Al Awabi and 2 in the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil.
Al Harrasi pointed out that Sanad Service Centres in South Al Batinah Governorate provide direct employment opportunities for 213 Omanis. This reflects the centres' central role in supporting employment and human resource development, in addition to their contribution to motivating the private sector and enabling small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to continue and grow.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion is keen to increase the number of government services provided through Sanad Service Centres, in addition to expanding their scope in a manner that meets the needs of beneficiaries and augments the efficiency and quality of service performance.
Al Harrasi said that, during thepast 20 years since their inception, Sanad Service Centres saw remarkable growth that enabled them to keep pace with economic developments and contribute to the business and investment environment.
He explained that, at the 2ndSanad Centres Forum held recently, the Ministry unveiled a number of initiatives that aim to develop the centres’ work environment, raise the efficiency of their employees and enhance partnership with the private sector—with the prime objective of consolidating the centres’ role as service platforms that support economic growth.
He stressed that the overall development of Sanad Service Centres and the sustainability of their services aligns with the goals of “Oman Vision 2040”. This drive, he explained, seeks to highlight the status of South Al Batinah Governorate as an attractive investment hub and as a supporter of economic and commercial activity in Oman.
