Oman Joins Global Community in Celebrating International Civil Aviation Day

Muscat, 7 Dec (ONA) --- The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) today organized a gathering in Muscat Governorate on the occasion of the International Civil Aviation Day under the slogan “Advancing Innovation for Global Civil Aviation Development”.

The event was held under the auspices of Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism. It was attended by top managers and CEOs of civil aviation sector organizations.

During the gathering, the Civil Aviation Authority launched a postage stamp to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sultanate of Oman’s accession to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). age stamp documents the historical sequence of the aviation sector in Oman since the establishment of the country’s first airport at Bait Al Falaj area in Muscat in 1929. This was later followed by more achievements, including the opening of advanced international airports at key locations around the country.

The Civil Aviation Authority also launched its new website, aimed to offer the best user experience, based on technological progress that prevails in the modern world.
