Oman, UNICEF Review Efforts Exerted to Address Child Issues

Muscat, 23 May (ONA) --- During his visit to Oman, Marc Rubin, UNICEF Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa engaged in high-level discussions with government counterparts to address child issues, such as child health and nutrition.

The meetings included discussions with key officials from the Ministry of Health, the Foreign Ministry, the National Center for Statistics and Information, the Environment Authority, Oman Human Rights Commission and the Social Protection Fund as well as with the World Health Organization.

Marc Rubin, the UNICEF Regional Deputy Director said, “Together, we can build on our achievements and address the challenges that lie ahead to ensure every child in the region has the opportunity to grow up healthy, educated, and protected.”
