HH Sayyid Shihab Heads to Iraq

Muscat, 16 May (ONA) —— HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs left here today heading to the Republic of Iraq to lead the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation, on behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, at the 34th Arab Summit and the Fifth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, scheduled to be held in Baghdad tomorrow Saturday.

HH Sayyid Shihab and his accompanying delegation were seen off by Dr. Mahad bin Said Ba'owain, Minister of Labour, Dr. Mohammed bin Nassir Al Za’abi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Mohammed bin Said Al Ma’amari, Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs and Dr. Mohammed Al Asadi, Deputy Ambassador of Iraq to Oman.

HH Sayyid Shihab is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Dr. Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Nassir Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League and the Charge D’affaires of Oman’s Embassy in Iraq.
