Oman Participates in Meeting of GCC Endowments, Religious Affairs Ministers
Kuwait, 6 Oct (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, participated today in the deliberations of the 11th meeting of the GCC Ministers responsible for Religious/Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Kuwait.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was led by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Ma'amari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The meeting discussed several topics related to developing joint institutional work in the fields of advocacy and endowments, and supporting programs aimed at spreading a culture of moderation and tolerance. It also reviewed proposals concerning activating the role of religious institutions in serving society and promoting shared human values.
The agenda included initiatives aimed at employing modern technologies and artificial intelligence in religious work, developing mechanisms for the construction and maintenance of mosques, entrenching a culture of intellectual security, and rationalizing resource consumption in mosques.
The Ministers emphasized the importance of continuing to hold periodic meetings to exchange expertise and successful experiences, which contributes to enhancing the message of joint religious work in the GCC countries and activating its role in supporting development and promoting moral and human values in Gulf societies.
