GCC Organizational Structures Forum Kicks Off

Muscat, 16 Nov (ONA) — The activities of the GCC Organizational Structures Forum commenced today in Muscat. The forum is being hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Labour.

The organization of this forum comes within the framework of Oman's commitment to enhancing GCC institutional cooperation and exchanging expertise in the field of administrative development. It seeks to draw inspiration from international best practices in designing and updating organizational structures to align with future requirements.

The forum aims to review the approved models of organizational structures in the GCC countries, analyze their similarities and differences, and ultimately propose a unified GCC reference framework. This framework would contribute to enhancing institutional efficiency, establishing the foundations of governance and flexibility in public administration, and keeping pace with modern trends in building dynamic structures capable of rapid response to challenges and changes.

The forum also seeks to promote GCC institutional integration, support joint projects and programs, and expand cooperation among government bodies through organizational alignment and the exchange of successful expertise and practices in structure development.

Participants will also discuss the challenges and solutions in aligning structures across national borders, as well as the standards and indicators necessary to measure the efficiency of organizational structures and their effectiveness in achieving institutional objectives.

It is worth noting that the GCC Organizational Structures Forum is a step towards crystallizing a unified GCC model for modern administration. This model will balance national particularities with regional integration and contribute to building institutional structures that are more efficient, flexible, and sustainable, aligning with the aspirations of the GCC countries towards the future and enhancing their ability to respond positively to the changes and demands of the era.
