SAF Chief of Staff Receives Commander of Peninsula Shield Force

Muscat, 12 Jan 2026 (ONA) --- Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces, received in his office at Al Murtafa'a Camp today Maj. Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ruwais, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force, and his accompanying military delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several military topics of common interest. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Hamid Al Yaqoubi, Commander of the 23rd Infantry Brigade and Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Yousifi, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces for Operations and Planning.

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman also received Maj. Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ruwais, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force and his accompanying military delegation at his office in Al Murtafa'a Camp today.

During this meeting, the two sides discussed several military matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by several senior officers of the Royal Army of Oman.
