Muscat, 17 Jan (ONA)—The Ministry of Finance today organized a workshop to discuss a plan to draft the final version of the quarterly report of internal auditing departments at government units.

The plan, set to enhance the role of government internal audit units, is being implemented in association with priorities of Oman Vision 2040, aimed to realize a system of legislation, justice and monitoring of financial activities.

During the workshop, the Ministry reviewed the quarterly report’s final draft and the best practices endorsed by government units to ensure the implementation of the budget and detection of financial breach.

The workshop was attended by Abdullah Salim Al Harthi, Undersecretary of the Finance Ministry, and representatives of government units.
