Muscat, 17 Jan (ONA) ---- Oman Institute for Oil and Gas today held a ceremony marking the passing out of 70 engineers and geologists at the conclusion of the first phase of intensive training of human resources.
The ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Musallam Salim Al Busaidi, Human Resources Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour.
The ceremony included the signing of an agreement between Oman Institute for Oil and Gas and Oman Environment Services Company (Be’ah) dealing with partnership in the field of environmental resources sustainability.
Eng. Nasr Nassir Al Siyabi, Director General of Oman Institute for Oil and Gas, stressed the significance of the institute’s training programmes provided in honing the skills of the participants.
Meanwhile, Abulrahman Humaid Al Yahya’ee, CEO of Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL), told the media that all the participants joined the labour market (70% of them in oil and gas firms) after completing the three-year training programme.
