Muscat, 19 Jan (ONA)—A meeting on activating social dialogue was held at the Labour Ministry today by a tripartite committee comprising the Ministry of Labour, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the General Federation of Oman Workers.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mahad Said Ba’awain, Minister of Labour.

A visual presentation featuring the process of future action was screened during the meeting setting goals for social dialogue in the Sultanate of Oman. The main themes include increasing productivity, enhancing competition, achieving balance and harmony between the interests of workers and employers in a manner that consolidates the accomplishment of comprehensive and sustainable development in the country.
