Omani-Iranian Business Council Explores Boosting Joint Investment

Muscat, 9 Feb (ONA) --- The Omani-Iranian Business Council held here today its meeting. It discussed upgrading the level of joint investments between the two countries, enhancing areas of cooperation in mining, fisheries and medical equipment, as well as setting upIranian companies in the Sultanate of Oman in various economic sectors.

Qais Mohammad Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion urged businessmen and investors in both countries to take advantage of the available investment opportunities to achieve common goals.

On his turn,Seyyed Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran hoped the meeting would open broader avenues through joint investments and devise precise mechanisms to speed up executive procedures for investments.

Moreover, Eng. Ridha Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) affirmed that the meeting came up withclear mechanisms that seek to activate what was discussed, and exchange business delegations between the two countries. Ultimately, those visits will contribute to organize trade exhibitions for Omani and Iranian products, as well as boosting the volume of investments.
