Economy Minister Confers with ESCWA Delegation Visiting Oman

Muscat, 28 Mar (ONA)--- Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy held a meeting today with Dr. Rola Dashti, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), as part of the current visit of the ESCWA delegation to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and ESCWA, including support for the "Governorates Development Index" project, the mid-term evaluation of the 10th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) and devising a consultative framework for the upcoming Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).

The Ministry of Economy and ESCWA are joining hands to develop various economic models, such as the computable general equilibrium model (CGE) and the national version of the trade policy simulation interface to assess global economic shocks.
