Russian Tourism Delegation Explores Oman's Heritage and Tourism Offerings
Muscat, 24 Apr (ONA) --- The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today hosted an introductory meeting in Muscat for a delegation from the Russian Federation representing 54 tourism companies.
The session aimed to showcase the Sultanate of Oman's latest tourism developments and explore avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation in the sector.
Recent statistics indicate a significant increase in Russian tourist arrivals to Oman during 2024, exceeding 44,000 visitors. The Ministry had previously established a tourism representation office in Russia during the fourth quarter of 2024. This office has effectively promoted Oman's diverse tourism experiences and strengthened its presence in key global markets, particularly in attracting Russian travelers.
The visiting Russian companies' itinerary includes visits to prominent religious, heritage, and cultural sites such as:Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the National Museum, Al Alam Palace, Muttrah Souq, Nizwa Souq and Fort, Al Jabal Al Akhdar and various hotels and tourism landmarks.
