Meeting in Brussels Explores Means of Boosting Omani-Belgian Investment Partnerships
Brussels, 17 Jun (ONA) —— The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion today organized the "Advantage Oman-Belgium" business dialogue in the Belgian capital, Brussels. The event highlighted promising investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman and means of boosting economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting attracted elite Belgian investors and corporate leaders, with a focus on priority sectors such as renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, and leisure tourism.
Serving as a platform for direct dialogue between both sides, the meeting enhanced opportunities for commercial and investment partnerships while supporting mutual interests.
The session showcased Oman’s key competitive advantages for investors, along with major strategic projects and ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and improve the business environment.
Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, emphasized Oman’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with Belgium. "Oman has a clear vision to strengthen its position as a regional investment hub," he said, noting that this meeting represents a qualitative step toward expanding cooperation with Belgian companies and highlighting the promising opportunities and competitive advantages Oman offers to support business growth.
On her turn, Ru'aa Issa Al Zadjali, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Belgium affirmed that the meeting aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance economic relations with Belgium. "This event provides a direct engagement opportunity with the Belgian business community and supports the development of ties between our two friendly countries," she added, noting that Oman offers a competitive investment environment backed by strategic projects and government incentives that enhance the market’s attractiveness.
This meeting is part of a series of international promotional initiatives led by Oman to solidify its global standing and build economic cooperation bridges with European markets, particularly Belgium, which serves as a promising partner in several vital sectors.
