Oman Strategic Leadership Conference Kicks Off in Muscat

Muscat, 17 Nov 2025 (ONA) --- Oman Strategic Leadership Conference kicked off in Muscat today. The two-day conference focuses on the importance of converting strategies into methods of action that guides decision-making, enhances institutional harmony and upgrades the level of performance.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar.

The conference is organized by Al Assayel for Development company in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour.

In a keynote speech, Dr. Aflah bin Said Al Hadhrami, Managing Director of Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), said that the conference “constitutes an intellectual laboratory for exchanging experiences, exploring trends and devising practical solutions that can be implemented in local and regional environments.”

The conference brings together experts, analysts and speakers from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad. The participants review experiences in the field, exchange expertise and contemplate common aspirations and visions for the future.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. John Maxwell, a global expert in leadership, reviewed key themes of the conference, which include exercising values-based influence to unite society around a common vision and norms of communication, with the prime objective of activating strategy through impactful messages and flexible leadership in an evolving, complex world.

In the second day of the conference (Tuesday 18 November 2025) experts, specialists and decision-makers from the public and private sectors will present working papers and participate in dialogue sessions that will review current and future visions and practical experiences in the field of strategic leadership.
