Japanese Nikkei Index Drops

Tokyo, 18 Nov 2025 (ONA) - The Japanese Nikkei index fell today to its lowest level in more than seven months, as investors sold technology company shares after Wall Street plunged sharply last night.

The Nikkei declined 3.2 percent to 48,702.98 points at the close, marking its largest daily drop since April 9. The broader Topix index slipped 2.9 percent.
