UNRWA: 142 UN Employees Killed So Far in Gaza

Gaza, 8 Jan (ONA) --- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced the death of 142 United Nations employees in the Gaza Strip, as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation army aggression against the strip. It pointed out that the number of UN employees as victims in the current Israeli aggression is the highest in the organization's history.

UNRWA said, in a statement, that 130 of its facilities and schools were directly hit by Israeli shelling, indicating that what is happening in Gaza is more dangerous than the Nakba of 1948, after the occupation turned Gaza into a place unsuitable for living.

Additionally, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are starving, which requires redoubling efforts to allow for humanitarian aid.

Since the start of the Israeli occupation army’s aggression on 7 October 2023, the Gaza Strip has witnessed a horrific humanitarian crisis due to cutting off electricity, fuel and water services, at a time when many organizations confirm that the humanitarian aid that has reached the Strip so far is very small compared to the size of the ordeal.
