Deputy PM of Kosovo Lauds Oman’s Efforts in Promoting Security, Peace

New York, 27 Mar (ONA) --- Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, hailed the march of comprehensive development in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as its foreign policy, describing it as an oasis of security and stability in the Middle East region.

She stressed that the efforts made by Oman to promote and enhance security, peace and coexistence in the region have enjoyed a special appreciation by the international community.

This was stated when Dr. Mohammed Awadh Al Hassan, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations (UN) in New York received the Kosovo official at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the UN.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosova called for strengthening the relations of cooperation and friendship between the Omani and Kosovo peoples in various fields, especially investment, education and tourism.

She added that Kosovo welcomes Omani students and visitors who wish to study at its universities and see its tourist attractions.

She also stressed the sympathy of the Kosovo people for the issues of the Middle East region, the demand for an immediate cessation of the war in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the protection of civilians.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo and Khalid Saleh Al Rubkhi, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations in New York.
