Geneva, 13 Jun (ONA) —- The World Health Organization (WHO) affirmed that it had documented 32 deaths in the Gaza Strip attributed to malnutrition since 7 October 2023, including 28 among children under 5 years old.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a media briefing on the X platform that "WHO has documented 480 attacks on health care in the occupied West Bank since the 7th of October 2023, resulting in 16 deaths and 95 injuries." "There have already been 32 deaths attributed to malnutrition," he added.
WHO Director-General continued, "In the occupied West Bank, as in Gaza, the only solution is peace." "WHO welcomes the UN Security Council resolution adopted last Monday, which calls for a full and immediate ceasefire," he said.
"We urge all parties to take steps to implement the resolution immediately and bring a permanent end to the suffering of millions of people," Ghebreyesus said.
