Oman Calls for Efforts to Contain India-Pakistan Military Escalation

Muscat, May 7 (ONA) - The Sultanate of Oman is following up, with great concern, the current military escalation between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry today, the Sultanate of Oman called on the two neighbouring countries to contain this serious escalation.

Oman stressed the need to give precedence to diplomatic efforts to reach an understanding between the two countries and prioritize political solutions in order to maintain security and stability and achieve peaceful coexistence and harmony.
