UNRWA Warns of Life-Saving Humanitarian Aid Perishing at Gaza Border
New York, 15 May (ONA) --- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned that life-saving humanitarian aid stuck in warehouses outside the Gaza Strip is at risk of spoilage due to Israel's closure of the crossings and its denial of entry since 2 March 2025, in a continuation of the genocide it has been perpetrating for 19 months.
The UN agency said in a post that humanitarian aid, including food, hygiene supplies, medicines, and shelter materials, is stuck in warehouses outside the Gaza Strip due to the blockade.
"With crossings closed, lifesaving aid is at risk of expiring — that's food people can't eat, medicine people can't take," UNRWA said.
UNRWA confirmed that its teams and trucks are ready to deliver aid to those who desperately need it in Gaza.
