Iran, Russia, China Strengthen Coordination on Nuclear Negotiations in Trilateral Talks
Tehran, 23 Jul (ONA) --- Senior diplomats from Iran, Russia, and China convened in Tehran for high-level trilateral consultations focused on the latest developments in nuclear negotiations and sanctions relief for Iran.
According to official statements, the delegations reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination on matters related to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The discussions centered on ensuring the full and effective implementation of the agreement, including the removal of sanctions against Iran.
"The parties emphasized their shared position on upholding multilateralism in international relations and expressed support for a balanced outcome in the nuclear negotiations," read a joint communiqué issued after the meeting.
In parallel with the trilateral talks, the heads of the Russian and Chinese delegations held separate meetings with Iranian officials, including: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs and the Director General for International Peace and Security at Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs
These bilateral discussions reportedly addressed broader regional security issues and enhanced cooperation among the three countries.
The Tehran meeting comes as negotiations to restore the JCPOA remain at a critical juncture. All three nations have consistently advocated for the United States to lift sanctions and return to full compliance with the agreement.
The delegations agreed to continue their consultations at various levels in the coming weeks, signaling sustained coordination ahead of the next round of nuclear talks.
This trilateral engagement reinforces the growing diplomatic partnership between Tehran, Moscow, and Beijing, particularly on issues where they share converging interests vis-à-vis Western powers.
